Larry Mattson, Ph.D. started the firm in 1986 after 
          leaving his position as a Senior Partner at Litigation Sciences. Prior 
          to his work as a Jury Consultant, Larry held several positions with 
          Black & Decker, including President of Nippon Black & Decker, 
          General Manager of McCulloch Japan, and Director of Planning and Acquisitions 
          at Black & Decker's headquarters in Maryland. Larry holds a B.A. 
          from Willamette University, an M.B.A. from UCLA and a Ph.D. from Claremont 
          Graduate School. Larry is a member of the American Society of Trial 
          Consultants.
          
          Drury Sherrod, Ph.D. joined Larry Mattson in 1988 to 
          form Mattson and Sherrod, Inc. Dru brings a background in psychology 
          and communication to bear on questions of juror behavior and trial strategy. 
          Dru is the author of a textbook on social psychology and more than thirty 
          articles on psychology, jury behavior, attribution theory and the effects 
          of environmental stress on human behavior. Dru holds a B.A. from Southern 
          Methodist University, an M.A. from the School of Advanced International 
          Studies at Johns Hopkins University, and a Ph.D. from Stanford University. 
          Dru is a member of the American Society of Trial Consultants, the American Psychological Association, and the Society for Experimental Social Psychology.
          
          Ellen Sherwood, Ph.D. joined Mattson and Sherrod Inc.
          in 1989 after leaving a position as a research associate in the Department 
          of Medicine and Biobehavioral Sciences at UCLA. Ellen uses statistical 
          methods to analyze and predict juror verdicts, and she organizes juror 
          information for use during jury selection. Ellen has published numerous 
          articles, including research on the predictors of patients' success 
          in substance abuse treatment programs, the predictors of doctors' choices 
          of medical specialty, the predictors of job success and satisfaction, 
          and the predictors of a successful adjustment to retirement. She has 
          also written on the recovery process for people imprisoned as hostages 
          and prisoners of war. Ellen holds a B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. in Psychology 
          from UCLA. Ellen is a member of the American Society of Trial Consultants.
          
          Eric Gober joined Mattson and Sherrod, Inc. in 2004. 
          Eric has over 20 years of experience in research-related project management, 
          and holds a B.S.E. from Arizona State University and an M.F.A. from 
          Wichita State University. Eric is a member of the American Society of 
          Trial Consultants.
